Another great resource for readings on older child adoption is www.rainbowkids.com I can't recommend enough readings before jumping into to such a big lifetime commitment. As many of these families will tell you, if you are well prepared, it is a challenging, but rewarding experience.

I really liked reading about Karas adoption story.
ReplyDeleteSince we are also adopting a 10 year old who will be 11 when we meet her, and her time in the orpanage and foster care are very similar. I also read her families blog and it had her letters to them from China. Lot's of great information.
